Just a short clip of one of the guys getting spanked by one of the reef hoodlums in Aitutaki- one of many spectacular bustoffs but the only one with decent video.

Yea not the ideal rod to be using, only rated PE6 but was all the little brother could afford at 16, he's not really in a postition to blow a grand on a topwater rod.

It's pretty gnarly territory through that section of the reef too, we got dusted many times through there last year on Dogfights on PE8 Saltiga rods running as much drag as we could and still stay in the boat LOL

Plenty of the fish we hooked didn't pull a meter of line and we tried to tow them out but its a long way before you're in the clear in that area and it's perfect territory for them to go to ground in a hurry.

I was secretly hoping he would go swimming, that would've made me feel slightly better about being stuck at work while he was in the tropics chasing GTs and Doggies LOL

very true, stella 18k and high end rods can't stop many of them either. such tough terrain to pull a fish out of.
