Hi Guys,
Two years of Nano Technology development has been put into our 2014 range of rods and we had a few prototype samples in various formats of these new Synit Mantis light to medium jigging rods at the Boat Show over the weekend.
The rod that had the most interest was the very versatile Mantis X13 and for the Kayak guys we will offer this rod in a shortened form as the Mantis Yakattack in spiral wrap or spin..
All the Mantis range are run on a fast taper mandrel and utilizes the Xantu Live Nano Fibre technology.
The Mantix X13 has been designed for a wide range of fishing applications from Slow Jigging to Mechanical jigging and Live Baiting to Stray lining.

There will be four rod weight classes offered in the Mantis range, Mantis X13 (PE1-PE3) Mantis X24 (PE2-PE4) Mantis X35 (PE3-PE5) and for those wanting a jigging rod for 220-550g able to handle those serious fish from the Three Kings to the Ranfurly Banks then we have the Mantis Xtreme PE6-PE10.

Spec's on the X13 are
line weight range: PE1-PE3 (15lb- 45lb)
Length: 5ft 8in - 6ft or 5ft 6in in Kayak format
Max Jig: 250g
Best Jig: 60-220g
Max Drag: 10kg
Fighting Drag: 3-8kg

the X35 would be somewhere between a 200 and 250g jigging rod . Max drag of 14kg with a fighting drag of 5-12kg and a PE rating of PE3 to PE5.

yep, had  pull on one of them prototypes and that'll be the first purchase after the boat is up and running. these things will work the jigs like crazy and then have big balls down deep to turn and lift the fish up. so light and powerful with the real nano tech built in. Synit!

When shooting a mime, don't use a silencer or his friends will hear you.
If camera lenses are round why do the pictures come out rectangle?

Yes we have a good idea of what the pricing will be but it will depend on the configuration. In the X13 you have about 5 different build options and more if you include the Yakattack. The whole Mantis range with the exception of the Mantis Xtreme are all targeted at the light to light medium weight classes. There is still the Mantis Micro jigging still to come but I don't see that rod having a massive appeal here as it has been designed for our Asian market where they love jigging 7g to 30g using 2-8lb braid.

Hi,
Length has been driven from our Asian market and is 6ft 6in, we can go to 7ft on the mandrel but I would need to change the pattern of the blank...
