New Zealands first genuine Open Match takes place this coming weekend with Anglers from both Islands taking part. Should be a great weekends fishing!!!! ------------- Need coarse fishing tackle??? Give me a yell |

A great weekends fishing
was had, only issue was the real low levels...made the draw vitally important, but none the less everybody caught, plenty of cold beer was drunk and many a story told in the pub....

Cheers Clemmo, it was a great weekend...and the banter as always was top notch!!!
Had a couple of people pop down for a look and chat, but I think the thunderstorms kept quite a few indoors....when that lightning came over it was funny to watch everyone put their poles down, 15 metres of carbon in a thunder storm not the best idea LOL Could of done with all that rain a couple of days earlier, but cant have everything... ------------- Need coarse fishing tackle??? Well it was the first "Open" so yes guess it was a recored turn out....
As for the other question...maybe you should have popped over and asked the anglers face to face? Or is trolling from your arm chair about your limit???

Whats the problem with asking what the catch was? Also if your going to adopt a tough guy, fisty cuff stance maybe coarse fishing isn't the best thing to do it over... just saying |

I wasnt I havent and I wouldnt..just dont EVER swim through where Im fishing aye
But I was being serious if you want to know what individual anglers caught then you would need to ask them I can give weights of catch and thats about it...species is not a criteria for this kind of match...

Off the beaches...occasionally
McLarens and the upper and lower parts of it
