Im usualy a land based fisherwoman, in and around the South Taranaki area and I do rather well, but I thought that I would try something that I had'nt done before, so I booked a date for my husband and I on a charter with Peter Robins (south Taranaki charters), we left from the Patea river, over the Bar and out to sea. What a ride ! The fishing gods were good to us that day, we hooked up on some very large blue cod, 4 awsome snapper, and a kingie that was a centermeter under, so back into the big blue he went for another day, oh well them's the breaks. And after 3.1/2 hours, with big smiles and a full quota we were homeward bound. It was a fantastic day with a brilliant skipper, and Yes we will be doing it again, but to target big kingies next time.

Hi fish freak

if you are using a boat it's easy, get it in the water and head out to sea.

if your land based then its not so easy, you could try opanaki, or waverley, or patea.
