Team,
Anyone casting the 832? Looking for informed opinions on how it casts... 50lb etc.
I am using the 832 on my Ducro and really like it... but am wanting to spool a lighter reel for small stick baits.

Try the Stren microfuse Sam, 10lb has ABS of 28lb, never had any problems with it yet

Hi Sam, i am using the 50lb on a casting set, although it apparently tests way higher which i like, the problem (especially for casting) is that it is much thicker than the stated diameter on the spool literature it is sold with, mine is supposed to be about 0.34mm, but it must actually be much more than 0.40 mm diameter....so not only do you get less than you think on a spool, but it not as nice to cast in my opionion, being thicker than expected.. just my 2 cents worth..

I have 300m of 50lb on my PennSSV6500, casts fine so far, yet to be tested in anger unfortunately.

haven't dome alot of heavy duty popering work but have used the braid
I've been fishing the 20lb on a sustain 5k spin set for a few months now used for throwing softies and varoius lures (hard bodies, stickbaits, poppers, jigs etc) to snapper, trevs and rat kings fishing land-bassed, casts well enough, the line doesn't stick to it's self like many braids (think the gore fibres cause that), so needs to be wound on tight, more than most otherwise it's wind knot city, where it really shines is abrasion resistance, have been run threw the crap by fish and bust off to find the 30lb fluro leader a shredded mess, but the nearby braid just a little fuzzy.
also have the 50lb on a saltiga surf 30 o/h, brilliant for casting on o/h reels, have used it in the surf, no worries, something to do with how it doesn't stick to itself i think, and again amazing abrasion resistance.

Yeh mate I use the 30 and 50lb for casting waxwings and small stick baits, seems to be a good braid thus far, have been using it all season casts better than any other resonably priced braid I have used thats for sure. nice and quiet through the guides to, prob because its a round braid. its a 8 carrier braid to so should be good abrasion resistance, havent yet been reefed yet so cant comment to much on that part of it.
