yip well done alright we got a couple of nice snapper one taking most IGFA points, and had some big bust off moments on snapper, we found them in the deep 90m area any deeper were sharks land about 25 kings on day 2 but all rats but where the small ones are mum and dad wont be far away also found a rock about the size of a house rising to 55m out of 75 which held fish what make me wonder is the bloody rock is not shown on any charts

That's an awesome effort Lola. Tell us some more about the catch Adam, i.e. how long it took her, bait etc. Is she still a small fry, if so it did you submit it as a NZ Small Fry Record claim.

Yes Vance shes still a smallfry, we sent the claim in so hope the line tests ok. On a bit of skippy cutbait while targeting snapper, 50min fight, a very unlucky fish. I thought it was a sting ray and was telling her to bust it off.

What a great effort. I bet it made her and your day. Well done Lola. All the best with your claim. Cheers

That's great Adam, like you I hope the line tests as well, but not to worry if the line over tests as it would still be the 4kg record anyway. It is amazing how much weight you can put on a fish with a balanced outfit once that first mad rush has finished and the fish has settled down. When it is a fish you are not worried about busting off you go at it so much harder, and this is probably how we should be fishing light line all the time but never do.

Kids grow up fast. Probably one of the coolest, most satisfying captures ive been involved with. Amazing angling and slick work in the pit.
