Does the colour of the braid you choose affect bites ive fished with grey, red, and  bright yellow and believe that the bright yellow gets more hits all braids were 15lb.
What do you think or is it all in my head?

I don't think it matters mate, the business end should have a decent fluro carbon leader of a couple of meters which the fish hopefully don't see...

Dunno about fish seeing braid, but I like bright green or fluro pink as I can what the line is doing in the water low light conditions, good for detecting bites after a cast.

I use white and looks better for longer as the colour doesnt bleed. caught more fish on white, but that may be to do with the fact its just far better braid and i had it on for longer. def benefit for bright braids in being able to see line but not sure if the fish notice or not

Fished with a couple of broken down old trout fishes quite some time ago and they showed me why it's so important to watch your line and set the hook quickly as soon as the fish takes yr soft bait. Catch rate improved significantly since & any fluoro line is easier to see.

Yeah, I didn't realise how much I sight fish by line movement in SBing until I tried some black braid.  One morning was enough.  It went back on the manufacturer's spool and into the cupboard, where it's lived for the last 5 years.  I'd even feel unhappy selling it second-hand.

I did catch fish on it; I doubt very much that they are affected one way or the other.

teflon coated braid by berkley, chartruse colour, is the goods. the teflon coating helps the sink rate and a more natural drop of the bait.
i am now on my eighth year without a break on the main line.
i dont wash with fresh water.....thats a no-no to me.
i run the line through a soft cloth now and again.
it is the most expensive but in fishing gear it pays to buy the best.
