These rods are pretty rare in NZ. Shimano's top of the line rods by a long shot. I paid $1350 for this rod but havent used it enough to justify it. With another baby coming in a couple of weeks the chances of using it are becoming even less. Rod has hardly been used, just caught a handful of kingies with it and its in new condition. Comes with case and is as good a new one. Always showered and rubbed down with inox after every use. Have fished with mates who use Caranx Kaibutsu's and the likes and none of them can get over how much nicer this rod is to use, let alone the extra 20m on casting distance. Wont get a sore back like most long rods with this one. Here is a link to a video showing world renown Kenzaburo Fukui catching this record GT with this exact rod.
