curious what everyones using? Am using a precision pack currently, but am thinking a roll out lure bag will serve my purpose better, with all my sticks/poppers pre-rigged ready to fish.
thus far I've found:

was thinking maybe the 3x6 pocket bags might be a little user frendly not being so bulky.
I know there was a thread on this a while ago, but my "search" failed to find it.
Cheers in advance

Very interested in this I have bbeen hard at work making a few stickbaitsfor the upcoming season. Have been wondering best way to achieve an easy mode of carrying them As they are varied in size I was wondering about making my own out of a series of PVC tubing cut to length and bundled together. Have one end open and one end closed with a porous material allowing for a easy hose down post fishing. Looking fwd to the input here

the precision pak system is pretty good, just the inserts check out, 4 of these fit in the pack:

I just think a roll, of pre-made lures is going to help when its "all on", as I experienced in BOP a week ago when all "hell broke loose" on the surface...sure was fun while it lasted.

The treble caps Jon had (laidbackdood) are really good, since you can have the lures rigged with the caps on ready to go. One of those roll bags looks the ticket, I don't normally take my precision bag since it is just one more bag to put somewhere in the boat.

I just made my own roll up bag, using some sturdy plastic lined canvas from an old chefs apron bbq kit i got given once.
Fold up a length and sew in pockets. I made some pockets smaller for light poppers/stickbaits.
As an aside, anyone know where you can buy the pvc mesh material that are used in some jug bags? would like to make the next version out of it so I can just hose the whole lot down...

hey guys I use these bags on the boat, you can fit around ten rigged lures in at one time and with the mesh sides its easy to wast out at the end of the day, have to be the best way to store your top water lures. http://www.nomadtackle.ashop.com.au/p/978468/washable-lure-day-bag.html" rel="nofollow - http://www.nomadtackle.ashop.com.au/p/978468/washable-lure-day-bag.html

Hey Guys, Been using a roll bag from HPA which is pretty good...holds approx 20-30 baits depending on size, will hold large ASWB's, Gammas etc...Netting at either end so drains no problem..and adjustable depending on how many lures you are carrying

Snap top plastic box, 30 cm x 15 x 12 or so = $5.95 from the Warehouse. Smaller one for taking out onto the rocks, fits 270mm gamma and a few smaller ones. Save the $110 for a decent lure...

I have one of those HPA bags and they are awesome(The best i think)..I tend to store all my lures in that and take 5 or 6 sticks/pops and just put them in a plastic bag...If you have the treble caps on(all good)....anything else just adds weight and bulk. The above will suit the rocks or boat........Are you likely to toss more than 6 different top water lures in a days fishing? I have a smaller lure roll, that can hold 10 sticks/pops for longer stays. If you plan to travel and want to take 20 lures....Then The HPA is ideal for that purpose.

I have just bought one of these for my fishing tackle http://www.fco.co.nz/online-store/products/Rogue-Trekking-Tackle-Bag.aspx?pid=223495&menuFrom=30602#Cross It has five plastic trays in the middle of it, each in a fixed in shelf so you can remove any box without all the others falling down. It also keeps the boxes upright, not on their side. The trays it comes with can fit up to 6 Halco Rooster sized lures in, the divisions go front to back. I bought a replacement tray from storage box that has the divisions going end to end which will fit up to about 27cm long in and holds three lures. This is a common size, and lots of plastic trays fit. You can also fit this in place of one of the boxes http://www.fco.co.nz/online-store/products/Rogue-Double-Sided-Tackle-Tray.aspx?pid=223502&menuFrom=30601#Combo which is handy for smaller lures and I also have slow jigs in it. As the amount of tackle I have increases I'm planning to have trays set up for different types of fishing and just take whichever ones I need out with me. Also handy that it's a backpack for any rock fishing trips. But what finally swung it was being $40 off at the moment. The only slight criticism so far is the bottom pocket, once you open the zip there is nothing to hold up the weight of the rest of the tackle bag -which can be quite a bit if you have filled up all the trays. I have put a wooden base in here with two supports glued on, which seems to work well.

The HPA rollups are great, and I have some, but for a day trip I just take 6-8 stickbaits with treble safety caps on in a "purse-like" bag: http://www.saltywatertackle.com/img/p/172-691-large.jpg" rel="nofollow - http://www.saltywatertackle.com/img/p/172-691-large.jpg

I use the large one for keeping all my tackle in for lBG missions (hooks, swivels, trace, knifes etc)...works well and imagine would do for stickbaits etc too, and well priced

the HPA Popperstore is fantastic as the guys attest to. Can't miss the fluoro orange. We are agents in NZ for HPA so ask your local store to contact us for the HPA Popperstore, HPA split ring pliers and also Jig King jig bags.

Those look good, on my RIB if I am out just for jigging/popping I take the precision pak lure bag, otherwise if bait fishing I have the yack pak aswell, which I can fit four lure holders in, so that I can always have something on me (always have a popper rod with me just in case)

Lure rolls work all good but I find the smaller the bag the easier it is to use and having 2-3 flat packs works better as it is not one huge roll in the bag to carry

using the rubber band help's tangle and if you put them in separate plastic bags that's even better
