Can anyone suggest or recommend a plastic tank manufacturer, dont care where, who can make me a custom underfloor fuel tank for a reasonable price.

Cheers

I've only made water tanks for our motorhome so don't know if any special requirements for fuel tanks.

Dont use moulded pastic tanks, we have had iusses with them splitting on the seams out of the 6 we placed in the tenders that we had built 4 have split, S/S is the way forward.

What about the welded plastic? High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (HMWPE)

 Any experience with that?

The one in the boat is ali, but has a pinhole leak so I thought plastic may be an option

Stainless is as bad as ali for crevice corrosion.  You could try a bladder inside a welded plastic support box...

Yes I was talking about polypropylene 5mm sheet folded & welded. These are the ones i made & fitted to our bus.

Cheers chip'n, thats the kind of thing I meant. They look mint.

I have found the holes in my alloy tank and they only affect the bottom skin where it sat in water in the bilge, rest of tank is mint so I may try to get it repaired.

Just in case its uneconomical to fix, I found a place in akld that produces welded plastic tanks and have asked for a price to make a new one, might try Hercules too for price comparison.
