Subject: Replacement Arcrylic windshields?
Date Posted: 05 Jun 2012 at 12:57pm
Hi All,

Purchased my first boat on Saturday, a Sea Nymph Wasp (14'6 w cuddy cabin)
Sunday, managed to break the arcrylic windscreen/windshield.
Any members have ideas who sells/makes these at a reasonable price?
I'm in Auckland.

Many thanks,

Try these guys, they were helpful, with a good windscreen at a good price for my boat a few years ago.

Thanks Jackson- Taylor Marine quoted $1000+GST for the arcrylic alone- seemed a lot for a single piece with two bends...
Barrie, will continue to look at old threads-not managed to find him as yet-thanks for the advice
Thanks too "Family affair", had been thinking that perhaps it was  DIY job-no issue cutting it etc, just got to research a bit more on the bends-figured for a one time job possibly best to just pay someone-but felt $1000 a bit steep.

Whoah, $1000 is steep!  The reason I recommended them was that a screen for a fyran 440 I had about 10yrs ago came to around the $200 mark from memory - wasnt even worth DIY'ing it at that rate.
At that price, I'd keep searching for sure.

Hi, I took H8_4DS tip (before the others posted) and dropped my cracked one to Plasfab in Onehunga last week. His quote was good-will report back on the result once done for all.
Now just trying to find the little aluminium clips that held it on (or more failed and didn't hold it on....)
