nice quick question.

snapper rod has had a bit of a hiding this year.
whats the best method for giving the for-grip of the rods a spruce up as its a little mankie
its the black foam type.
can it be lightly sanded back or is there a better way?

You are best to give it a scrub after every use i reckon(dont let it build up)...especially if you use stinky bait like skippy....I always clean my grips with that crc handwash(the stuff that gets rid of bait smell) but if it is caked on,  sanding  will get all the crud off and have them looking like new.Wink

if the rod is new you can put Japanese shrink wrap on them, it does not soak up the oils- just needs alight sand once a year
