A quiz thread titled "Where is this?" has created considerable interest
in the "Freshwater Fission" forum - basic rules which are by no means set in concrete are as  follows :-

A pic is posted of some location or other for members to try to recognise
where it is. It should be SW fishing related but could be a landbased
fishing spot, a popular diving location or a fishing clubhouse etc.

Pic should have some identifyable feature such as rock, reef formation or
headland etc.

Unless otherwise stated should be of somewhere in NZ

The first person to correctly identify the location or is deemed to be near
enough gets to post the next pic. If this individual does not wish to post
a pic they can nominate someone to do so or throw it open to anyone.

Regular clues to be given to help identication.

One only for the want of a better word will moderate the posts on this
thread only to give a ruling as to the rules being followed to ensure it
runs smoothly & as originator of the thread will self appoint myself for
the time being.

Will kick the thread off with something relatively simple & let's see how
it goes from there. The freshwater quiz is probably a much simpler concept
as mostly identifying a river, stream, lake or creek therefore rules for the
SW equivalent may require amending at some stage but is intended to be
a fun thing rather than taken seriously.

OK here goes .... where is this?

Same place
Once again

your turn to post the pic to get us all guessing.

So north of Mimiwhangata and south of Whangamumu, not Elliots and no road access... and has two islands in the bay and a tiny one just off the beach in the first pic...

Mokau it is Noel well done a few were really close...

It is interesting reading all the map/chart names of bays and inlets up here and there up in that area that are names that are never known as that locally or to the local peoples of the area...many have their own some being nick names ...

Now contact Baz for your prize and he will send you one of his vintage homegrown wines.Clap

Download Picasa which is a free photo app, just basic but can do touch ups, resizing and storing in albums, and some... that way you don;t need to waste bandwidth and upload twice Eric.

For those that have Office - Outlook... select all on your picture files (Ctrl + A) right mouse send to...mail recipient...and then it will ask if you want the pics smaller/reduced and then outlook will open and you can then copy those reduced pic files else ware into another folder and use those for Fnet.
