I havent seen many pics going up lately so I thought would post a few pics of some topwater tuna action from my last outing. A mix of stickbaits, poppers and plastics, Landed about 16 for the day with all but 1 going back over the side. 
 
These longtails are absolute line burners and are great little sport fish. The smith/saltiga is a great combo with enough power to land them before the sharks do.

Nice mate! Have you got any idea about the productivity of topwater fishing for Tuna in Hobart? I'm moving there in 4 weeks.

I know they get some decent Bluefin Tuna runs but from what I can gather they are really only targeted by towing plastics.

Sorry no, I havent been down that way as yet, But I have heard they do get some great tuna runs also.
