I have been welding my own loops for a couple of months now, if done properly the weld is stronger than the line, and way stronger than a braided loop.

Just as strong as a braided loop.... well clark maybe not as strong as those braided mono loops that I know you make yourself, but much stronger than the braided loops you buy in the shops. All the best.
