This would have been covered for sure.

Just rigged up my 7wt reel and finished the fly line with a welded loop.

Followed a simple video on Youtube (there are heaps)

I have been welding my own loops for a couple of months now, if done properly the weld is stronger than the line, and way stronger than a braided loop.

Just as strong as a braided loop.... Wink

(Actually my loops are 50lb which are stronger than the line and if attached properly the join is too... but welded loops are slick!)

well clark maybe not as strong as those braided mono loops that I know you make yourself, but much stronger than the braided loops you buy in the shops.
