Catch Certificates: Again for this season we will have the official http://www.fishing.net.nz/ - The Ilex Trophy: The ultimate prize once again will be the "ILEX TROPHY" awarded for what is considered the most meritorious catch or angling achievement of the season. The "Ilex Trophy" has been crafted and donated by renowned Northland game fishing family of Ken & Zane Wright. The trophy features the bill of a 285KG Black Marlin caught in the vicinity of The Hole in the Rock in 2002/2003, We hope in the years to come it will become one of the most recognisable game fishing trophies handed down each season.
