sorry to see yet another member gone from these boards, a bit of time out always helps when the 1 fish wonders get you down, simple as to ask for a break the mods are happy to see you right. If MSN never deleted there site from NZ these people would not be here.

CS was browsing over xmas and found your post, tucked it away but was lucky enough to catch uip with moggy recently and do some fishing
Nah he didnt spit the dummy just refuses to come back until grunta place some rules about probabtion, as moggy said - otherwiase its just a kangaroo court with out any rules.

would be nice if the system fessed up and did it right so we all know where we stand, i for one liked moggys comments, at  least he had the balls to stand up for them

Norm has had the rules around probation clearly explained and he also has my contact details. The rules couldn't be any simpler - posts are hidden until approved by a mod. That remains in place until the admin team is satisfied that individual can interact sensibly with others on the site.

He won't be the last to go on to probation either.

Some timely advice from an old book: "Don't forget to take the log out of your own eye first before you try and take the speck out of your brother's eye" (The Bible).  I like Bender's quote too about every person being a moron! HahaClap

Every where you go in life you will find people you dont like, or who dont like you. Dont waste your time trying to fix it, its just how things are!

Since I have been a member on this site I have met loads of great guys, have nailed my 1st marlin, fished with some great blokes, had some of the best fishing trips of my life, been passed down a  wealth of knowledge, scored a few bargins, had a few drinks, plenty of laughs, and not only increased my fishing and boating ability/knowledge but made some good mates along the way.

If i had packed a sad the first time, or any time, someone had pocked the poo at me, or the first time i met a plonker and run off with my tail between my legs I would have missed out on most of that. Suck it up, blow off the negative stuff and make the most of this awesome resource, which is FREE!

Im with Al, bring back moggy......sometimes its actually interesting reading a whole lot of stuff, that 1. you may not need to know, 2. would never go and find out 3. ....well i dunno, but moggy wasnt bad, didnt hurt anyone, he did offer some good stuff, but alas, left on his own accord. But he stood to his ground, believed in what he believed and had the balls to do it and get smacked down for it. That is a good quality in somebody I feel, and we are all (go on admit it) probably a little worse off without his input.

wah wah wah....my 10 cents. Arent we precious?

What Raging Bull said - I've met a heap of outstanding people through my involvement in this site and had some bloody good fun along the way. It's a matter of taking the positive route or not I guess and there is a choice.

[Edit - Moggy can bring himself back if he wants to. His choice and it's no more complicated than that]

in my short time here ive seen silly arguements blow up and ruin good friendships....sad but it happens everywhere not just on this site, egos/pride means they cant let it go and move on. Like I said a shame as they have all seemed like nice uys with a love of fishing which after all is why we're all here!

Sorry Grunta you are mistaking output with cause - yes from discussion with him over xmas I understand he knows what happens after but his grump which I agree with is that there are no rules or parameters around what puts you on probation!
If you want people to respect rules then you need to publish them. otherwise it ios a kangaroo court.
it has been noticable that there sioes seem to be 2 sets of rules one for the - lets just call the "charter" members and ones for the rest.
this site fills a public need and does it well but its should have been long over the "privaleged" few who get away with everything.
