For sale, the lighter of the two Kaibautsu stick bait / popper rods.

Details:

Shimano Caranx Kaibutsu PS8406
Line: PE4 to 6
Length: 8'4"
Max. Lure: 150 g

This is the lighter of the Shimano 'entry level' casting rods, ideal for mid weight braid, though I cast with 80 lb no problems. I say entry level in inverted commas as this is a very well built rod for the price, very light and strong and great fun to cast stickbaits and poppers with. Deserves to be paired with a quality spinning reel, I used a Stella 20,000.

The rod is in excellent condition, with only minor signs of use - a couple of small scratches on the blank which were only visible right up close and didn't even come out in the photos. Comes with Shimano rod bag, as pictured.

I'm selling as I've got a Carpenter blue chaser now and can't really justify having two casting rods at the moment. Also consolidating my gear a bit.Smile

As per my other 'for sales', prefer pick up, but can ship at buyer's expense, or deliver Auckland or Auck to Whakatane from 16th October.

$400.
