Is the middle popper a different shape to the others i.e. does it have sharper taper to the tail?
Are they all the same shape and action? How are they weighted to sit in the water?
Cheers

These are awesome, I had a practice working one of them with a stickbait rod and they have a great variety of action - can be made to zoom under the surface or create surface explosions.

Almost too pretty to feed to the Kingies.Smile

Yes the shape is slightly different on every lure I make, and there is a slight difference in the taper to the the tail on that particular popper. I don't use a copy lathe or any duplicating machinery i.e. they are all turned by hand/eye.

Are they all the same shape and action? - With the shape I work to set measurements at points that I deem critical, but once again they are hand made so there is a slight variation... As for the action, they all have it Wink but you will find with wooden lures being wood is what sets them apart.

How are they weighted to sit in the water? - They are tail weighted and are tail down at rest...This helps make the face dig and not skim/tumble... I have also built into the lure special weighting to allow the popper to swim when subsurface, they will not roll out no matter how fast you "burn" them on the retrieve, they will swim/waggle/zip with a huge smoke trail!

Try one you won't be disappointed Smile
