Can I please register interest in the Pursuit trip to White in late Sept?
Will be back in NZ from London for a few RWC matches and providing the dates don't clash would love the opportunity to get out there.

OK for those of you that want more details of the White trip on Pursuit here goes-:
We shall be going with 7 people
as per Email from Rick

Now for your September weekend trip, departing on Friday the 23rd returning Sunday the 25th.  The moon phase looks promising so we are looking forward to having you and your group onboard then.  Normally you would be our first trip of the new season but with the World Cup coming up we should be busy for the fortnight leading up to your trip which isn’t a bad thing.  Instead of being an “Icebreaker” trip we should have some experience and clues to make the trip better although not much wrong with last years excursion by memory!  As this point we are holding the early season price as per last season.  Fuel is always a concern but we are reasonably comfortable holding the price early on anyway.  So $390pp/day for six (6), $370pp for seven (7) and $350pp for eight (8).  I think my caterer may want a small increase, not sure as we haven’t totally discussed it at present.  Last season she was $55pp/day ($60 up north) but feel she may want another two to five dollars pp/day.  In any event it will be no more than $60pp/day.  Finally we will need some bait, usually about $60-80 worth for the trip with secure parking at $5 per vehicle per night still the go.

so doing the sums I get 2*370 +2*60 plus say 10 bucks for bait = 870.00 per person all included except for your own alcohol . Its a serious fishing trip so I take bugger all booze with me personally

Will those that have expressed interest please confirm that interest asap
Note I will be asking for a $200 deposit for this trip as I have to send some $ to Rick to confirm our booking.

It was a day I'll never forget mate! Although as YOU WILL RECALL, my 30kg got dwarfed by your 35kg +++

Tom was onboard that day too - who was the other chap again? I can't recall seeing him on these boards lately hence forgotten his handle??

Just blocking the 11th out in my diary now... Best dust off the gear and re tie a knot two.

Hi Guys
We have just done the first of our trips with Boulder guiding this year and here is a few piccies of the team in action.
I was in the middle of doing a repower on my boat (another charter operater moving to the mighty Yammie 4 stroke) so we all headed out in Fish Pimps boat with me demoted to deckie for the day.

A top day that with 35+- fish coming to the boat best around 18-19kg.
Interesting that it was a total jig only day that day in that location.
Fish pimps boat is very stable and had tons of room for us. He certainly had his own way of dealing to couta, trace and jig lifted high and WHACK with a big and very sharp machete chopped them clean in half.
I have to admit that made getting the hooks out of what was left a very simple thing.

Top day Ginge and only a few complaints about the lazy deckieWink who was unwilling to provide a full service.  Looking forward to the repower and definitely think you have made the right choice there

What's the deal, Boulder - Ginge heading out from Whitianga for top water / jigging / livies along the coast or Aldies pins?

Is there still a spot available on the 10th Dec trip? If so, I'll take that thanks!Big smile

YAY! I'm so excited man!
I'll have my Stradic 8000 with me...putting it on my kilwell rocky 2 lol. I haven't gone specialist yet for topwater...will be my first top water trip this year. Haven't found a good skipper to do some serious top water stuff...So I'm really keen on this trip. Another big spending hole as I think I'm really going to get into it once I get bitten.

I'll be bringing probably 3 sets of jig gear with me (JM PE4, SA20)...I also have an Avet MX that I'm demo-ing for my Avet "supplier". So jig gear, I'm all good there.

Wow can't wait.

Two more sleeps...
