Hello, Amanda here again.
Has anybody got any good Kahawai and/or Barracouta photos?  Alive in the sea would be preferable.  I'm doing the overfishing affecting biodiversity presentation and keeping it local with the overfishing of Kahawai and the affects that has had on the local white fronted tern population and also the potential niche of the Barracouta increasing as a result of the Kahawai vacating their niche due to a decline in numbers.  Thank you all for your help it's been invaluable and I've found lots of interesting information on this topic.Lamp
Happy Easter everybody!

Hi Amanda,
just by any chance did you come up with how come we have so many Kahawai now compared with 2-3 years ago????

also another bird which i only know of as a Sea Hawk which pry on Kahawai birds when they are carrying fish in there neck pouch to feed there young, the Sea Hawk chase them till they regurgitate these fish hence they would have been effected as well due to the absent of Kahawai birds when the going was tough...
here is a pic of that bird which is called a Jaegers...
