I intend on giving this a go when I get up north in just over a week but I was wondering if anyone has tried swimming stickbaits under water without pauses

I don't think its possible with all stickbaits but they show it on the killer promo vid, some of my DIY stickbaits can do but can't seem to get the cherry pie to do it.

Basically just a short jerk to get it under then quickly retrieve line and the bait stays under water. I guess you could do it all the way to the boat or break it up a bit.

Anyone actively using this method?

Some stick baits this will work very well, the sinking baby runboh is one that comes to mind.

But myself i think the pause gives the lure an oppurtunity to hit the surface and create a splash which i think is hte key to getting more interest in the lure.

Figured that might be the case Ginga, maybe the technique could be useful when you know you've already got there attention and they are on the follow?

Can't wait to get up there and into it!
