Just wondering if anyone knows of some good small poppers/stickbaits to use with softbait combos. Looking to try some top water action on small to mid size kingies. Preferably something that is in the normal persons budget.

I made these a while ago but never really took them any further....A treble in the tail would help keel the lure better...

The Rapala Skitterpops I have found   work well , priced around the $30, and are a good size for soft bait rods.

I have heard good things about the rapala skitter pops.

Just wait for rebel sport to have a sale and get them cheap

Cheers guys,

Loving the look of the home made one, good ingenuity.
Mite try rebel next time the do their once in a lifetime 30% off sale (which happens about every 3 weeks).

Fishing them in shallow rocky water hence not wanting to pay stickbait prices.
