I am keen on fitting a washdown pump and hose to my boat. Any recommendations on brands and litres per min or psi required would be appreciated. I see a guy selling some on trade me which "sound" o.k .

I used a biggish bilge pump located under the duckboard .

was more than enough volume/pressure..

I've been looking at doing this too, and the Jabsco kit mentioned above is probably the best value around.  Remember, in a wash down system, the more pressure the better...Johnson also make a good kit (70psi & 5gal/hr) but the sellers in NZ are asking between $450-600 which is way over the value that they are available on ebay.  Try doing some searches on google, and you will find some good info on the US boating forums...

Hey Footey,

I just installed one of these Thumbs Up

It is awesome. I did a lot of research before I bought it and anything that has salt water running in it needs to be of reasonable quality.

What about's do you live? May be able to get you a deal on one.

Cheers

DJ

Thanks family affair but I don't need a holder as will store hose down side pocket - appreciate the offer
