Stellamoon myself and Gorillaluce had a few days out with Lionel on Memory Makers looking to do a bit more personal R&D with the DeepShot Seriolas and a few other new Synit Topwater rods yet to be released. Stellamoon had just taken possesion of his DeepShot Seriola and was dying to test out the jigging range of this rod. Main interest on this rod was the fact it would jig down to 180g without jarring yet still handle 450g jigs and even 500g jigs with confident ease. He used the whole weight range from 180g and let the rod do the talking. All components on the Seriola are Fuji with combination of Fuji SIC RBSG and SIC MNSG Guides, the grips are laser etched the the Seriola and DeepShot logo and have inlayed grooves with UV resistant silicon in either white or black. The alloy trim on the Pro Series in Black and Silver again laser etched with the Synit logo and moto "Fight to the End"in either Kanji or English.

We also got to test the new DS200 with jigs from 100g to 350g. The DS200 is only available in overhead the rest of the DeepShot range is available in both Overhead and Spin.
All fish weighed in from 22kg to 28kg photographed and sent back, well apart from 2 for the smoker

Not to be out down the rod got sheared around
Also on test was the new 5'6" DS 200 DeepShot only avaliable in overhead

They are there alright Tony, big fat and full of fight.  The topwater action was so hot hot they were fighting to get a taste of the stickbaits.

Anesh on the Carpenter Blue Chaser 84/22 and Gamma 120g
Carpenter Gamma 120g and one nice topwater fish
Anesh with the Synit TopShot 71 XH and Fisherman Delta 60g
There are 3 rods in the 71 (7'1") range L, X, and XH
The 71 range has been designed to suited casting long distances from trailer boats and Charted boats where room is a concern. All the 71 shorter rods have been designed to cast as far as the longer 8ft plus rods a little secret we Kiwi's have ben hard out working on.
And a fat White Island hog the result

Went sweet but we still need a few more trips for the Light and Med models, the TS71XH we used on this trip is the rod we plan to use on casting Stick baits to Marlin but we warmed up on a fat White Island King or two to see the full limits of the weight range.

Better get in quick Greg he is filling up fast on the bookings, the Kings have returned to White Island bigger in a big why,  try for some time in Feb as the Kings will still be in good numbers fat and full of fight and the Skippies, Albies and Marlin should start showning up in good numbers as well, I so want to get a Marlin on a stickbait.

I can attest that this statement is also true for your 7' tuna popper as well. Thanks for a great blank, Graeme!
