Interesting footage
1/. Again a case of the press over reporting – battleship – god dam thing was a small frigate – any idea which one – looks Leander class – HMAS Swann I wonder?
2/. It was possibly the only time that the sub got to sea – they have been grounded due to problems for a long time
3/. The Aussie must have found one of the few remaining type 48 that run true – notice we didn’t see any torpedo wake – just a dive and a blowing up of the ship.
Having said that it being such a lightweight ship as the frigate is this look real.
4/. The Aussie navy doesn’t need to do that they used to have an aircraft carrier that was quite capable of cutting Frigates and destroyers in half.
But thanks Al interesting

The problem with the m65 nuclear rifle is that it had a range of only a few miles. This exposed the firing crew to blast and fallout, esp if the wind was blowing the wrong way.

However, it's perfect for clearing your favourite rock ledge or jetty so you can fish in peace during the summer. And it would give you the last word when infidels ask why you have to go fishing.

Finally, when zombies get inside the wire and try to run off with your fishing gear, the m65 is your friend.

That was weapons platform proving trials for the attack sensor suite on HMAS Collins, and I think it was Swann they used.  She was completely stripped, and carried a secondary pyrotechnic blast for visual effect 'IF' I remember the details correctly (note the blast of black smoke out the funnel after the primary pressure wave passes).  Nothing wrong with the Mk48, until the fuel gets out on deck or the wires break, or the thing forgets to spiral and starts hunting the launch vessel, or etc etc.

Very scary weapons for all concerned.  4.5" or 5" main guns are much nicer...
