wicked day on the water yesterday, myself and Glen headed out for a day on the stick baits.Cam (stellajigger) was coming but a 1:30 am call had him pulling out.congrats bro

got to spot x where the sea was flat as a board and into them
with fish showing up in the 15-18kg mark
top water fishing is the best way to catch kings,we fished from 7am till 3pm with out stopping
this was one fish i was keen to land, hooked about 30m from the boat, took sometime to liven up but when it did just smoked of line from the dog fight, had the drag right up and all my weight on it,got it to the boat and bent the meat hook type gaff and he was off.
good day on the briny

Congrats CAM. awesome shiz

looks like a Wicked day out on the water. Stickie fishing is definitely my prefered method of fishing at the moment as well but not always the go when the fish are deep.

How deep were the fish you were getting to come up ?

was using a single jobu 9/0 on the back with baker rig,was thinking of just using a single hook on the back next time cos the fish were all getting hooked the rear, the front hooks just damaged the fish, have to give it a go and see i guess

Way to go Ben thought it would be a awesome day out there with the winds dropping out. Looks like you had some real good fish. Will have to give this popping thing a go, more money to spent.
The Mrs will be pleased, better not tell her
