Afternoon all,

Was after some opinion from you well informed lot ( Am a little worried about yas after reading the Mussell Bed Challenge thread )

I tend to landbase on a Low & incoming tide mainly because all the spots I know are Low tide spots.

But how about on a high and outgoing if you can find a spot ? Do you learned gentlemen reckon theres a preferance for Tide for LBG or does it purely depend on your chosen location.

Have access to an inflatable this weekend so it opens up a few more options for me

Please share your wisdom oh Yodas

For me it all depends on location. I like to try and get to spots that are a little more difficult to reach in the hope that the spot doesn't get too much pressure from fishos. The only downside to this is that you may get stuck on an incoming tide.

I like an outgoing tide for the reason that it spreads your berley out over a wider area.

i tend to agree with kingfish it all depends on location location and we also try to fish ledges that hopefully dont get to much pressure 2 hours before and 2 hours after all ways tends to work best 4 as a good burley slick cant beat it mate and a good yak to get to the best ledges mate cheers wildrock

Whats the go with finding a ledge you can fish two hours before and two hours after if youve never been to the spot / island ?

Charts wont really tell ya where a good ledge is. Do ya just need to go earlier to suse it out so you dont loose fishin time ?

Looks like this weathers cuttin up so might not get to put this into practice this weekend....Fug it

U will usually find some where were u wont have to worry about the tides dude, what we usually do is find a spot were we can sit out most of the day, fish for snaps when the tides running and target kings on the slack water. make sure theres a good place to have kip if ur plannig on staying out the whole day. when I look at a  chart I look for cliffs with reef running out from them and little islands are always good as u can move around abit and try things. as for tides on deeper ledges out goin is good as kingfishsi says sreads the burley out but ifits shallow incoming is good in mornings and evenings i reakon fish move up to feed in shallows at these times feeding on shell fish ect and the burley holds them there that much longer. some times theories are totallly wrong ofcourse.

hope I didnt over do that
