Well the long wait is finally over and the second JM baby is safe in the TAS cave and my first custom rod.

I went with something a little different from the norm and some would say a bit old school but that was the aim, this was built in the depths of Wellywood by the OG of NZ JM rod builders Ginga Thumbs%20Up.

A few little things to be added, JM handle and I'll change the braid other that a very very happy camper SmileApprove

Reckon bro can't wait,  will take it to White this weekend and have a wee play and hope it doesn't end in tears Cry

Tied a few PR knots which were less that very average but I'm getting the hang of it slowly but surely, its a mean knot and a thing of beauty I have to say from ...now to do a decent one Embarrassed.

Yup Jig Kid the very same Ginga Thumbs%20Up

Oh what a legend, god and what a rod !

What does it take to get your hands on something like that???

First, you have to move to Auckland and hang out in Ponsonby Rd, with occasional forays down to Swashbucklers.

The rest is easy.

Nice rod Mooch - had a play with Boulder's JM 150 (I was about to type rod then and knew that would invite riposte and ridicule) on Friday. Loved it.

Nice choice Mooch,ya gonna lose the knob for a Power handle?
Also what kg brd ya using?
I started with 9kilo brd and moved up to 20kilo,mainly cos im using it more for kingies.

Defiantly Jimi the knob will go shortly when I can get that and a few other things under the matrimonial radar Embarrassed.I was thinking the blue version as it will tie in with the thread work and the blue on the Saltiga.

I have 10kg braid on it currently Power Pro (because I used it for a little light bottom bouncing during the wait for the 150), but that will change very soon I think coloured braid will be on more use and save gear to, only so many times you can hook Aotearoa and get away clean Ouch
