Always good to read your reports Jimi.Time on the water is the only way to truly test the final product and put it threw its paces.
A good work out. Star drag and sculling is the only way to go. Awesome stuff. I gess that's why these jigging master rods stand out. They are in a class of there own and truly unigue.

Mite have to get on my hands and knees and beg Chris to have a play with the new terminators and the KJ400 spriral wrap. Then again after his Ranfurly trip he may just want to keep them for him self.

Jimi,
Does the acid wrapping do a lot to minimise the rod twisting from the overhead reel?

No twist at all, these rods are the future!

Yep the future for overhead s/b rods as well i reckon, hard to find a production rod that the braid doesnt touch the blank when your getting spanked.

Jimi does the spiral wrap make a noticeable difference in regards to twisting compared to conventionaly built rods ???
The main idea behind the rod was for that reason, and to reduce the amount of guides needed due to the braid being under the blank on the tip section (s/b rod only)

Just met up with KojakThumbs%20Up in Orewa and had a feel of those rods and the KJ400 which we put under some serious simulated tension. Man those things almost lift me off the ground - they must be lethal on the water.

Shoulda called them the KJ007 series -  they must be licensed to thrill!Big%20smile

Awesome rods John!!  mmmmmhhhhh now what do I really really want for Christmas......ApproveSmile
