HEre is a series of pics, not all that huge or anything, but a good range of fish that have fallen to jigs for me in the last year or two.

Dirk Seiling,

Broken arrow 420gm jig.

Can't remeber the rod/reel combo though, I think a penn gld30 on a normal sort of rod.

Ranfurly Rise, Pacific Invader.

Dirk Seiling (again!)

Bluenose, 420gm Broken Arrow jig

Same rod/reel as above.

Ranfurly on Pacific Invader again.

Ah! there you are! Wrong with the rod-reel combo above, they were all on my AvetLX and Berkley dropshot 15-30kg rod.

This is a Rubyfish, again on Pacific Invader, all the same trip (as no doubt you guessed)

Nice big Tarakihi, again 420gm Broken Arrow (no prizes for guessing my favourite size jig eh! :-) )

Rod and reel, probably my Avet I suspect

Cannot remember the name of the guy holding the fish.

Boat- Triton,, @ 3 Kings, King Bank.

[IMG]http://www.fishing

Angler, Romina Haefelfinger

fish--15kg Kingfish

Rod-reel  Tica Magma rod, TiCA Seawave reel.

Richards rock, Whitianga

Boat. Taiho, skipper, Pete MacKenzie.

Penguins 1st ever kingfish,

Cobra Rock, Whitianga.

12kg kingi,

Rod-reel... AvetLX/Berkley dropshot 15-30kg

Jig  Broken Arrow 420gm.

oops, better dash off the the farm again,

cheers now,

Stu.

yeh i am partial to the old orange jigstar but my new fav is the zest 400 super deep one side orange other side a different colour. Got to agree with the japanese on mixing it up have those days when the fish are red hot on orange then they develop lockjaw, throw on a blue or pink jig then bang your back into em.

my first real go at jigging this metal thingy. Had a few sessions where virtually all my drops got hit and other ones where I could not buy a bite (when the livies where getting hammered).

the details
estimated 27kg (tag and released) (slightly bigger and better condition that the 25.5kg one the day before)
angler: JB
Boat: pursuit
location: white island region
skipper: rick p
torium 30 with 37kg braid and zest jig (blue with pink highlights on one side) I think either the 370gm or 400gm
20 winds from bottom
15 - 20 minutes to land and it had me at the reef I'm sure once or twice
blew the bottom section of my beastmaster rod to bitsConfused but who gives a rats with a mint fish to be released for another day.

Hey guys,
I'm pretty new on here, but been lurking for a while, and just blown away by the fish in these threads! Y'all have some serious critters swimming around down there!! Awesome!

One quick question for you Jimi, I see a bunch of mention and have certainly seen the eveidence of the fish caught on one of your "jimijigs"... are these the same as your SRJ's or are they another jig?
Any link to pics?

Thanks
Nepps

Not my best king, but the biggest for me this summer off Raglan about to regain its freedom along with 10 others in the session, mainly rats with the exeption of this one and 2 others. I dont mind a few rats if some nice fish are mixed in with them. This one measured 109cm and est at 15 to 17kg, possibly had a cookie cutter shark bite or a speargun hole at some stage of its life but looks to be all healed up now
