Where is the best place to get fish bait and burley in Wellington? I live in the Hutt so around there would be good, but have lived in Auckland so driving 1 hour to pick up bait is not really an issue.

I mainly fish landbased and surfcasting.

Try Pete Lamb down by the airport, awesome shop, top bait and loads of good advice especially for landbased

Yes, definitely Pete Lambs. The baits there are fresh and reasonably priced, and you can occasionally get special baits like baby salmon, sanmar, etc.

A third vote for Pete as well.

The guys at hunting and fishing are worth getting to know as well.

OK, cool I thought that might be the case.

My brother used to work for both of them a few years back so know the H&F guys quite well, have met Pete a couple of times, but was a man of few words.

Pete has southern bait in the house.
all the normals plus bulk deals, shellfish burley, piper, shellfish, prawn, good quality stuff. Some is distributed in the hutt I think, give them a call.
