Conditions were "moderateErmm"

East Cape - Little Barrier

Rember how to fish with these...

and you don't go fishing without these do ya now.....our somewhat depleted stock but hey.... if they get eaten that's not a bad thing... aight!!

Hook ups a plenty on baits and livies...

and the bin starts to fill up....

Deckie this trip was Brownie (Brown Dog) and we were both kept busy...

another one hits the net.....

and another goes to bed.....

a few of us dabbled with the SPs...this wee rig scored a plenty....

see....Wink
at this rate we are gonna fill up quick.....

deepwater soft plastic fishing....
this puppy came out of 60m...check out the lead to get the bait down - unorthodox and I'm hearing ya... but it works...

The second bin gets started...
double, triple and even quadruple hook ups were common... goaat love winter fishing the deepBig%20smile
the single hook strayline rig buys a pannie
this was the best preformer so far as those other baits went - you know those rubber things you see from time to time...LOL
our redesigned landing gear worked a treat - very happy with that now.
OVER and OUT!

Great report - top pics - great action Damien.
With a good forecast for Sat might be a few boats up that way.....
Any birds or just fishing the edges of the deep reefs - 60m is a fair depth.
Much cuda action?

Now that's a good result!
Was out that way-ish today, but the weather beat me and my 6m tinny up too much, and with not a Gannet in sight - split after a couple.

Yep, the little sparkles do the trick.
