Another boat related question, last time I asked about boats costing around 30k....

But now, I would like suggestions on what boats to get for between $50-60,000. The main criteria is that it can be towed, and easy to beach launch would be a advantage.

The reason I am asking in two different price brackets is because my father can be quite erratic in the amounts he decides to spend. So I would like suggestions in that price bracket so I can offer a few suggestions.

Out of interest, what is the better material fiberglass or aluminum. I personally think aluminum boats look better but that is where my knowledge ends.

I would go with a 6.1 surtees.
Very goog sea boat , you can launch from a beach with ease and get a well set up boat for under $60000.
IMHO

Neither of them fit into the easy to beach launch though. Mostly depends on the beach - how hard the sand is and how much fall it has.

I'd have thought that anything above about 5.5 is no longer easy to beach launch - unless you have a tractor.

You can certainly get a heck of a lot of boat for $60,000 - its a decent budget.

Are all of these boats good quality? Is there anything which should be avoided?

All of my boating experiences in the past have been with Naiads and their 4.3m boats cost more then same of the 6m ones. I could not fault the quality of the Naiads in any way and was just wondering if same of these boats would be of a lesser quality.
