The other day while hooking toomany dog fish I wondered about mincing them for burley.

Anyone tried it? Not sure if other fish would appreciate the ammonia taste

I can't say I've tried it but I have successfully used large strips of spurdog as bait for bluenose, it works well.
As a separate comment it is my understanding that if you freeze shark the ammonia taste / smell breaks down.

I would suspect any fishy smell will work. Def worth a shot.
I use mussel shells (packnsave) , cray bodies - by that I mean the empty shells.  (very good) and all the fish trimmings. Nothing wasted.
