Having trouble getting answers on my questions , bit beyond the shop basics , maybe there a marine lowrance guru here ?

- running a gen 2 hds10 unit on the boat and a hds gen 3 unit with seprate total scan transducer . the fish revel option on the gen 3 is causing interfrence with the gen 2 unit . anyway to fix that with out turning off the fish reveal option

- looking to replace the gen 2 unit with another gen 3 hds or go to a elite fs unit . can a elite fs net work off the hds gen 3 unit and show a diffent page ( sonar on one , down scan on the other ? ) or can they run 2 seprate tranducers with out interferance ?

- gen 3 wifi shows the network availible on my tablet but does not say it connectable ? so what settings am i missing ? ( not searched the inter web and theres nothing that helps

p.s have tried to contact the supplier ....never get back to me

cheers in advance

I would like to say I could help you as I have had a coupe of Lowrance units but I dunno. There is a chappie called Josh Western who is an absolute guru on this stuff.  https://www.facebook.com/p/Railed-Sportfishing-100057044547279/" rel="nofollow - https://www.facebook.com/p/Railed-Sportfishing-100057044547279/

I only have limited knowledge, most of that is with Simrad. Which is similar.

Elite won't network as it's a lower end model.

Gen3 is quite old now but you might find one secondhand. Different generations often don't play nice with each other, normally the newer unit doesn't run the advanced features, but goes into legacy mode. So having the newer unit networked limits it's potential.

Running 2 transducers next to each other is fine. However if you are running the same frequency on both you can have interference. I have heard of interference between boats that are close to each other running the same frequency.

Running 2 transducers on the same frequency is a recipe for a bad time and crap results. Use the more capable unit with the better transducer as your sonar and remove the transducer from the other one, or at least switch off Transmit in the settings.

Elite FS can network with 1 other Lowrance unit, if you want more than 1 other you need to buy HDS or a Simrad NSS. When you have modern Lowrances networked they can display whatever data is present on your network on either device.
