Hey Fisho's and boaters...

Well, the financial controller (the mrs obviously) has given me a hint that she might be interested in going a bit bigger than our awesome Haines Hunter SF545 LE.

I love that boat, and we managed to squeeze another 13 hours onto it over a very poor summer but, we ended up having lots of people on board, which made her think that we need to go bigger! (im not arguing with that lol).

Im tossing up on the following, and just to preface things, she's very very invested in Haines (loves the ride, finish etc) and I think Id have a pretty hard time convincing her otherwise!Wink:

- Haines Hunter SP635
- Haines Hunter SS660
- Tristram 701 (think thats the one)
- Rayglass (any HT model)
-Huntsman Centurion HT (I like them, but would be limited resale I think as really are a south island boat only)

I do have to factor in some garaging. The length of our garage in the sounds is: 8m L x 3m H x 3.6w -  but, like any good boaty, I am thinking about "boxing out" the back of it or, look at a good folding drawbar. I know things can be achieved to get a bigger boat lol!

Use cases for us are:
- 60% fishing
- 40% day boating/beach/watersports
- Looking to potentially overnight in future
- we are a family of 4 (two kids aged 11 and 14)

Not really wanting to look at Alloy :)

What would you recommend? Any feedback on any owners of the above? Anything else to throw into the mix?

Cheers!

If you like your Haines, then a bigger one would be the obvious choice. All the Haines I've been on have been finished to a high standard. Nice boats.

Yeah good call - I think it would have to be something pretty extraordinary to change both our minds!
