Hi guys. Where do I start 🙄🙄 stupid stupid me... Bought a brand new parsun 20hp efi 4stroke. Installed it on my 12ft boat.. anyway on first start up I had a 40galon drum setup with water in it. At start it was fine.. pumped water, the pee stream was fine.. I realized there was the flush hose and stupid undone it while the outboard was going. Water pissed out of it, not knowing exactly what it was I screwed it back on.. then I realized it wasn't pumping water anymore 😞 I read the manual and what it was... Further investing it only pumps water with the muffs on.. any one have any idea what I have Fu*#ed?? Bit stressed about it as the motor is brand new... Kick my own ass!! Hoping there is a easy fix and not a giant bill with the outboard mechanics. Thanks

after reading the manual you may of cooked the impeller.,do not run use port, you my of broken the circuit stopping water geting to impeller.

I have a mariner with flush port, never used it,but noticed it has a one way valve, dont know about parsun though, imagine be the same.

Your talking about the pump impeller? I did look at that and it still looks new with a bit of grease in it as per factory. Yeah sadly I mange to read that part after the fact 🤦🤦

Is the pump impeller still keyed to the shaft , not spinning freely ? ( bit of a long shot )
