Hey guys,

So ive recently acquired a boat and had a few trips out of whakatane with not alot of luck
Main species of target are : Snapper, Gurnard, Terakihi, Kingfish & Diving for crayfish.

Ive heard that 10 mile is the main spot to target Terakihi - do they always hold there ? Have heard they are sometimes around the Raus too?
Snapper: Ive had a poke around Whale and the Raus but so far predominantly only undersized fish - im using ledger rigs mainly but may need to try soft baiting or stray lines perhaps?
Kingfish - are there reliable spots for kingis that exclude voyaging out to white island?

Crays - picking there will be reds around the Raus or Whale perhaps?

Not expecting anyone to give me their spot x or whatever.

Just a rookie looking for some advice to make the days out on the water more productive and have more confidence in understanding east coast fishing .

Boat is a Buccaneer Esprite 550 with a 130HP Jonny .

Cheers for any input or feedback

Casey
