Looking At this 5.3m Ally Boat, Owner doesn't seem to know who or where it was built but believes it to be built in 1996 in the North Island.

Does anyone recognize the Shape or have any input on how I could find out more information about this boat? Looking at it as a first fishing boat for inshore fishing around BOP and trips to the surrounding islands (Motiti, Mayor etc).

Any Comments Appreciated.

No idea but looks like good value. Hull almost looks like a Fyran but topsides not quite the same.

the design & shape does not look familiar at all and I'm pretty familiar with the alloy boats from that era.
I'd also be suprised if the transom/boat was rated for a 115, most boats that size from that era were 90HP Max.

Ok Interesting Thanks. Does that suggest that it may have been a one off/short run from an overseas design perhaps? Would the 115hp concern you given no cracking on inspection?

the 115 V4's would have weighed the same as the 90hp V4s and probably aren't too different in weight to the 70-90hp 4 strokes of today, if it checks out ok it should be ok
