Hi all.
We (my son and I) have bought a drone fishing setup (drone, Rod, etc). We’ve tried it a few times at nearby Hatfields Beach. We finally got the line out this weekend, but.. caught nothing!
Undeterred, we’ll continue.

Don’t ask me how but I just KNOW there are fish out there..

We used squid for bait the first time which I mistakenly chopped up into a soft mess, so this time, my (adult) son did it and it seemed to stay on the line.
But, as mentioned, zero catch.

Somewhere I got the impression that ‘it’s too cold’ for the fish so we’re probably out of luck until about Christmas?
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where we put it out next? We’re in Orewa on the North Shore and it’s a bit like the blind leading the blind at this stage.

Any hints/ suggestions??
Thanks in advance 🐟

Google maps in satellite mode is your friend.  Zoom in and look for areas within range where there is a bit of foul ground nearby.
