Hello, I am soft bait fishing from a kayak and I want to try, while I’m actively soft baiting, to have a slow jig going in a rod holder. And also to slowly tow it around while I’m heading to my spots. I like having two rods going but the one in the holder, usually with another soft bait on, doesn’t tend to hook fish. I can’t afford a jig rod at the moment so it would just be on one of my soft bait rods. I was thinking one of the 40g inchiku jigs. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Cheers! |

If there's fish to be caught, that will work, 100% 
I regularly use 100g jigs on a softbait rod, so don't worry about it. A different proposition dropping a jig vertically versus casting.

| Weight obviously depends on depth of water and drift speed, but the smaller the better as long as you can keep it just off the bottom. |
