Unfortunately in the Mediterranean the swordfish stock is suffering greatly. Many North African countries that are not part of the European Union of states allow intensive and unethical fishing of this species. The size is significantly reduced. The average specimens are 20 kg... the large ones 50 and more. We are in a very bad situation.

Also it is really problematic with specific fishing equipment, finding them is difficult in Europe. I often buy in Australia, New Zealand and the USA... with a lot of money spent on customs duties.
