I want some spots around Auckland that i can quickly shoot out to to shoot some fish. I've seen a few posts about the noisies but there all from 10+ years ago. Anyone know if they're any good still or should i find somewhere else close to Waiheke area

Problem is silt and high current. Still be kings at noises, Zeno rock and David rocks …but spearos and boaties all thrash it now. Make sure you take a big dive float and stay close in, as  a lot of idiots on water with no respect for anyone,  let alone a diver.

I'm not sure if they're still good but ti point, Matheson bay used to do ok. I've heard the bronzes are getting quite toey around there now so stone your fish and get a Plat if you can.
