Hi,

First time poster! I've had a Shimano Ocea 1.54m single piece jigging rod for a number of years and the tip finally gave up the ghost, replaced the tip only to break again with a piece of the fibreglass rod inside so figured its time for a change, noticed that Shimano dont make these anymore!

I've got a Shimano Stella 8k I've been using with the rod and I'm either looking to buy a replacement to the Ocea or an Overhead combo - catching mainly kinghy's - 250gm jigs in approx 70M of water.

Anyone got any good recommendations? Grappler Type J is on the list so far!

Thanks everyone!

I have a Grappler Type J. No complaints, but can't say I've caught a ton of fish on it.

CD Haku and Jigstar Ninja should be on your radar. Jigstar Battle Royale ML if you're feeling flush.
