Hi all, I’m just wondering if there are any rules on how many hooks you can have on a rod specifically in the Auckland region for land based saltwater fishing. I’m also wondering how many rods can you fish at a time?

I tried googling but couldn’t find the info for my specific case

Thanks!

I can't find a specific limit for hooks or rods. It's 25 hooks for a set line according to the rules, but they also specifically state that this does not apply to rods. NZ is incredibly permissive in terms of fishing rules compared to other westernised countries.

It would have to the same as a long,25?? sakabi rigs have 6 or 8.

But why you want more 2 hooks, pre made dropper/flasher rigs 2 hooks

1-3 hooks is optimal. It's a practical issue if nothing else.
