Just wonder about your thoughts when dragging.  Man at the shop says "use jig heads" (didn't have worm hooks in stock), plus they are easier to rig, but I reckon worm hooks plus sinker outfish the jigheads a lot.  Just me?

Today caught next to nothing on dragged jigheads but plenty on worm hooks.  Same SP.  Different action to the rods though, one softer tip that the other, so that might be it.  Must experiment more

Which jig heads are you using.

I've messed around with worm hooks, can't say I've noticed a huge difference. The Glowbite Bleeder hooks are a good compromise. I like the presentation, but I don't think the fish care!

I find dragging can be very productive and the OA lightbulbs seem to work the best. Maybe be the round head style, could work more like a ball sinker.

Pretty sure it was a Berkely Nitro Pro (1 oz), dragging with a 1 oz lead.  I wonder if the flexibility between weight and lure allows it to swim more naturally and in a "tail up" way

I think there’s jig heads that work well for cast and work back to the boat like the head you were using, these tend to have a lot of action darting around and then there’s the ball type heads like the lightbulb that do tend to sit more straight up like you say.

I have fished worm hooks but hard to keep the Zmans on them they just get pulled off. I tried superglue, tiring them on. The lightbulbs hold the Zman well.

I like the look of the new Baitjunkie jig heads as well.

I'm not a frequent user of softbaits these days and have never been super keen on them like some but when I did use them I much preferred worm hooks just because. I guess it was because of the 'mix & match' convenience they offer

I use a short length of copper wire through the eye of the hook at round the top nick on the lure.  Never fall off.
