Thoughts on putting a 60hp 2 stroke tiller steer on a Kingfisher 430 monohull? Dry weight of the 60 2stroke is the same as a 40hp 4 stroke which is an option on these I believe. Boat is 4mm hull version.

About 40kgs more than my current 30HP which pushes along at 23kts but would be nice to be able to tow a biscuit occasionally and bonus of getting to fishing spots faster would be choice.

Maybe give the boat manufacturer a bell?
My parents have a 4.5m boat with a 100hp 4 stroke Suzuki on it but they have had it since new.

Tops out at 43mph, 5500-6200rpm has very little speed difference just chews more fuel.

I have a new 60 hp 4 stroke Yamaha tiller steer on the 4.5m catamaran that I made and it goes well. Different from your set up I know. The motor weighs 115kg.
