I put some on, but since then my lenco trim tabs start moving around after any bumpy water and will then turn themselves off. I turn on and adjust and will be fine till next bumpy water. Had the electrics looked at but no solution? Some built in protection ? Water when bumpy going over top of tab hitting lights causing an issue? Seen many boats with same set up and no probs?

I'm not familiar with those lights, but do they need to be submerged for cooling?,
Itherwise, the bumpy ride issue might indicate a bad connection, in line glass fuses with spring loaded ends?

The lights a nz made Helia underwater lights but don’t over heat out of water. So can use all day out of water too. 1800 lumens so lots of light power there.

The electrics is all I can think could be the problem too. They are a pretty basic system so not much can go wrong.

You could try disconnecting the electrics and go for a test run. If the problems still there it could be to much weight on the end of the trim plate putting it out of balance

Thanks Kandrew, so put the tabs down and maybe pull out fuse then take it for a spin in some bumpy stuff. Worth a shot. The lights are similar to the extreme factory set up and I bought their extreme trim tab light brackets so should be good. Hmmmm

Sorry, I didn't read properly, the trim tabs are the problem....Yeah, I'd be looking at the controller, it will be copping the rough stuff if it's mounted up by the dash.

Thanks big Dave, it seems like the controller is a sealed unit but it’s pretty buried in cables etc. I’m thinking it has to be or some earthing when there is wire movement coming off a big bump. Thought others may have had the same issue

I had a dodgy earth post that caused that. Could be when the underwater lights were connected, the earth was disturbed.

That exactly what I think is happening. Appreciate your input, that’s going to be my first call
