Howdy,

I'm reasonably new to the kingi game, have been eyeing up a trip to Hen and Sail Rock?

How do they produce these days? Or have they been thrashed?
Not after any spot x's just a bit of helpful info.

Cheers 🍻

No idea as I haven't fished Sail Rock in many ages but have had success towing rapalas around it. Was reliable back then

Heaps of quality reef fish there too but so long ago (20+ years) who knows what it's like now. Probably still ok

Kings off langs and magawhai south this time year. Mate had few rats off there in weekend. Rapalas always a chance trolling round there, but medium kahawai livebaited probably better way to go. Mcgregors rock usually will hold a few, otherwise river mouths or where fish are schooling. Sail or southern end of the Hen should also produce. Same but deeper the water livies or maybe jigs if you have sign and there not coutas, as we are near prime season for those.
